Australia Zoo

ACTION - ADVENTURE - ANIMALS At Beerwah just north of Brisbane on the Sunshine Coast, you can visit the legendary CROCODILE HUNTER, Steve Irwin. The Zoo is home to over 750 animals over 50 acres with daily demonstrations starting at 10.30am. The highlight of all shows commences at 1.30pm with an hour and a half of demonstrations with the wild caught crocodiles. This is truly exciting adrenalin pumping action.
	Awarded Australia's Best Major Tourist Attraction for 2003/2004 Australia Zoo offers a whole day of wildlife action and adventure! Get your adrenalin pumping as you watch crocodiles launch a strike in our 5000 seat Crocoseum. B Brewery Tour - Brisbane
BEER DRINKERS UNITE – WHEN IN BRISBANE, THIS BREWERY TOUR IS A MUST More than just a brewery tour, the XXXX Ale House provides an insight into the 125 year history of an Australian icon. The Brewery Tour lasts approximately one hour and 15 minutes and is an entertaining and educational experience, using state-of-the-art technology to tell the colourful XXXX story. From the time you arrive at the Castlemain Perkins Brewery’s, multi-million dollar Visitor Centre, the atmosphere of this Queensland favourite thirst quencher will overwhelm you. The Tour begins here with a multimedia presentation telling the legend of Castlemain Perkins and it’s place in Queensland history. You are then taken into the brewery, where you learn about the raw ingredients that are the foundation of all XXXX beers. An interactive display in the Brew house details the brewing process before you see the evolution of the XXXX brands and their packaging. From the Packaging Museum it’s onto the Packaging Hall to see the southern hemisphere’s biggest single packaging line – and there aren’t many breweries in the world where you can get this close to the action! The final stop on the tour is the high-tech theatrette where a final presentation highlights XXXX’s place in the Australian lifestyle and community. By the end of the tour you’ve worked up a thirst, so it’s on to the bar in the XXXX Ale House to sample some of the famous XXXX brews. Light meals and a lunch menu are available for visitors in the XXXX Ale House bar. To get there by train from Brisbane Central, take 2 stops to Milton, right opp. the brewery, or bus or car. Make an afternoon of it with your mates, stop for a meal, and train back to the city.

S SHOPPING – U Name it! If you arrive in Sydney you will be light on the luggage, so you will be needing clothes and knickknacks for your stay in Oz. You must visit the Haymarket just along from Central Station, where you can buy just about anything, including cheap grub. Hundreds of individual stalls all open from Thursday to Sunday and if you are wanting cheap fruit and vegies for that hostel cook up, hang out for Sunday night as the stall holders ‘sell-off’. When you are ready to buy all those souvenirs and gifts, take a visit and you’ll find that prices are probably the best in the whole of Oz.
